Montague bikes come almost fully assembled. A little bit of time is required to unpack and fine tune your bike straight out of the box. Apart from removing the protective packaging, what you need to do is unfold the bike frame ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t6sFzVNWzbY ), attach the front wheel via quick release, attach the saddle and seat post via quick release and attach the left side pedal (pedal wrench included). We also suggest rotating the handlebar downwards approximately 5 degrees to ensure a more comfortable riding position. You will require a 4mm hex or allen key to do this by unscrewing 2 of the 4 bolts on the stem front plate, turn the handlebar downwards and re-tightening the 2 bolts. Finally inflate the tyres and you are ready to go. This whole process should take around 20 minutes.
Bikes with RackStand
The handlebar is not mounted onto the stem by the manufacturer as more space is required to fit the tightly packaged bike and RackStand into its box. To attach the handlebar, the stem plate needs to be removed via 4 hex bolts, the handlebar is placed into position and the plate is re-attached and tightened with the 4 hex bolts. Full instructions and a tool is provided.
